The Coppell Gifted Association is presenting a Winter Symposium to offer parents, educators and children a day of enrichment. Parents and educators attend the keynote address and breakout sessions presented by leading experts while students are engaged in hands-on learning experiences. Adult sessions are free for CGA members.

If you have a deposit for the bank, please bring it to the school this Friday, Jan. 20th, between 7:30 am – 8:30 am in an envelope. Make sure the student’s name, account number or phone number, and the amount enclosed are on the front of the envelope.

There will be NO Colt Connections this Wednesday. The next one is scheduled for February 1, 2012.

Just a reminder that as the weather gets colder the number of car riders increases in the morning. In order to avoid your child being tardy, and missing recess, please make sure to leave a few minutes earlier. Students must be in their seats at 7:50 when the tardy bell rings. Thank you for your cooperation.

If you collected any money from your pledges for the All Star Fun Run PLEASE send it in on Tuesday with your child! This fun run was a huge success but we are still $19,000 short of what was pledged.

The PTO Board would like to invite you to the PTO Board meeting which will be held, Tuesday, Jan. 3rd at 6:30pm in the library. So many decisions that are made and topics discussed DIRECTLY effect YOUR student!!!

Colt Connections meets this Wed, Feb. 1, in the library at Cottonwood Creek. The meeting starts at 11:30 and we will be discussing Thinking Maps. All parents are invited to attend!

We are $19,000 SHORT of the pledges that were made for our All Star Fun Run in November. PLEASE send in the money pledged by THIS WEDNESDAY and help us make this an even bigger success!!!

Sand Candy tubes will be sold this Wednesday, Dec. 14, after school in the front loop. $2 for one tube – Help support the 5th Grade’s fundraising for Sea World! (Great stocking stuffer or gift for a friend!!) Assorted Flavors to choose from!

Parent “DEARS” are STILL needed for TOMORROW, Dec. 6th to take over a classroom from 1pm till 3:30pm. This will allow the teachers to leave for the day at 1pm and not return for the day. Dr. Penny & Mrs. Kastrounis are covering the Special Needs classrooms with a substitute to maintain the structure of that environment for the kids.

Our fifth graders are performing “Twas One Crazy Night Before Christmas” on Monday, December 5, at 7:00 p.m. in the CCE Cafeteria.
